2015 Dinner with the Pros Beneficiaries
All for God is transforming teens and strengthening families and communities through their Hope Partner youth program; serving 1,700 teens each month. With a focus on low-income neighborhoods, their services include financial assistance to hire and train youth ministers, coaching on the skills, programs and fundraising needed to sustain their success. Teens involved in their faith are happier, do better in school and make better life choices; research studies confirm it. Youth ministry is a proven way of intervening, helping teens to avoid problems with violence, gangs, drugs and alcohol, and other high risk behaviors. No affiliation is required Hope is open to all teens.
Mary’s Mercy Center
and Veronica’s Home of Mercy
Mary's Mercy Center is a response to the less fortunate. A place where individuals find compassion and acceptance, regardless of their condition of life, and find services that meet their basic needs. Some of these programs are a meal program which provides a hot nutritious meal six days a week; over 8,000 meals served monthly. Other free services include showers, hygiene packets and clothing.
Veronica's Home of Mercy is committed to care for and serve the needs of adult pregnant women and women with children. Life at Veronica's Home of Mercy offers a healthy alternative to substance abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. The home fosters a nurturing environment in which the individual is afforded a unique personal opportunity to hope, to dream, to love and live again.
The Brian’s Scholars Foundation
The Brian’s Scholars Foundation, which honors former Blessed Sacrament Parish School principal Dr. Brian Bennett, allows students in financial need to receive a Catholic values-centered education. A renowned education advocate, Mr. Bennett dedicated nearly 40 years as a teacher, principal, consultant and administrator to providing better schooling in low-income neighborhoods. In addition to a strong moral education, children are immersed into a system of academics like no other. Students who attend Catholic elementary schools and continue on to Catholic high schools graduate high school and attend college at a rate of 99.5%. The Brian’s Scholars Foundation makes this possible for all, including those families least able to afford it.
Rockne Heritage Fund
The Rockne Heritage Fund is a key source of support for expendable athletic scholarships. These scholarships are powerful recruiting tools, and enable student-athletes to come to Notre Dame without having to worry about how they will pay for it, and make Notre Dame dreams come true.
